Norman Blake Vinyard passed away May 10, 2017. He was born September 17, 1932 in Staples, TX to the late Carl Edward and Willie Mae Vinyard. Mr. Vinyard was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Navy. He was a retired engineer having worked in the petrochemical industry.
Norman is survived by his wife Audrey Vinyard; daughters, Pamela Vinyard Johnson (Joseph), Valerie Vinyard Sharon (Michael), and Terri Vinyard Stoker (Shane); daughter-in-law, Nancy Vinyard; grandchildren, Philip Johnson (James), William Johnson (Breana), Kyle Sharon (Jennifer), Keith Sharon (Maria), Trevor Sharon, Connor Sharon (Breanna), Chad Stoker (Cheri), Kristin Stoker Nix (Ricky), Jared Stoker, and Lindsay Vinyard Thakur (Sachin); 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolin Vinyard Bridges (Claude).
In addition to his parents Norman was preceded in death by his son, Blake Vinyard; granddaughter, Brianna Stoker; sister, Marjorie Vinyard Hope; and brother, Donald Vinyard.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Klein Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Klein Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tom Sharon officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at 1:30 pm at the Houston National Cemetery.
