Norman Tucker, 88 of Houston, Texas was welcomed home to his Savior on January 23, 2021.

Visitation is 9:00 am and service at 10:00 am on January 29, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home, Tomball, Texas. Pastor Greg Jenkins, of Tomball Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will follow at Klein Cemetery on Hwy 249.

Norman was born in Independence, Kansas to Clayton and Faye Tucker on September 5, 1932. Following grades First through Eighth in a two-room schoolhouse in Sycamore, Kansas, Norman attended and graduated from High School in Independence, Kansas.  After high school he started and then stopped college to proudly serve active duty in the Army National Guard as a private first class, Field Artillery specialist during the Korean Conflict. During his service he obtained the rank of Sargent and married his childhood sweetheart, Beverly Kebert on December 24, 1951 at midnight in Sycamore, Kansas. When released from active-duty, Norman resumed his college and graduated from Kansas State University with a master's degree in Geology. He worked as a geologist for Magnolia Oil, Mobil Oil, General Crude and Lear Petroleum companies.

Norman lived a life devoted to his Savior Jesus after his salvation in 1967. Reading and studying God's word led him to become an ordained minister and pastor at the Voice of Praise Church in Spring, Texas where he served for over ten years. Norman also deeply loved and provided for his wife and family. His fun-loving expressions and comments around the family game table kept everyone laughing and in good spirits. After retiring from the oil industry Norman and Beverly opened a defensive driving school that had 3 locations. This allowed them to meet many people and share their love for Jesus. When he sold the business, he continued pursuing his relationship with God. His business card became "Norman A. Tucker, man of God". Norman loved to talk to others about God. This card opened the door for many conversations. His passion for knowing God deeply led him to write a book, The Wonders of Being in Him.

Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Faye and son, Clayton Tucker.

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Beverly; daughter, Marilyn O'Neal, and her husband Bill; son, Rodney and his wife Denice; grandchildren Jeremiah O'Neal and his wife Chloe, Amber and her husband, Leo Vera, Clayton Tucker and Rodney A. Tucker; great-grandchildren Johnny Vera, Jeremy Tucker, Bentley Tucker and Brandon Vera. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linda and her husband Chuck Shahan and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rodney N. Tucker, Clayton Tucker, Rodney A. Tucker, Jeremiah O'Neal, Cecil Henry and Michael McCoy.
