Norman D. Huebner of Tomball departed this life at the age of 92 to receive his Crown in Heaven on October 5, 2022. He was born on December 5, 1929 to Bernard Huebner and wife Ruth (Blum) Huebner in Ralston, Nebraska. He was baptized on December 29, 1929, in Papillion, Nebraska. He was a life long member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.

He served in the United States Navy from August 2, 1948 until January 17, 1950.

He started his career with Northern Natural Gas Company in the measurement department meter shop at South Omaha, Nebraska in 1951 with a starting salary of $1.29 an hour. He was employed by Northern for 35 years and held management positions at several natural gas transmission facilities in Minnesota and Kansas. He retired in Clifton, Kansas in 1986. He moved to New Braunfels, Texas in 1989 where his wife, Guelda passed away in January, 2001. He transferred his membership to Zion Lutheran Church, Tomball, where he met and married his present wife, Martha. They enjoyed 18 plus years of marriage.

Norm was an avid golfer and fisherman and especially loved to catch big walleyes in Minnesota and Kansas. He was a truly gifted woodworker, mechanic and all-around master handy-man. If not on the golf course or lake, you could likely find Norm in his beloved workshop, building or repairing countless items (furniture, vehicle restoration, engine repair, etc., etc.) for his family, friends, neighbors and church. You name it, Norm could fix it!

He was predeceased by his parents, wife Guelda, and sister Donna Haacke. He is survived by his wife Martha, daughter Cynthia Benedict and husband Paul, son David Huebner and wife Nancy, grandchildren Jesse Huebner and wife Sarah, and Valerie Huebner; great grandson Laurie Huebner. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Hoge and husband Dale of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by step children, Melvin Michel, Marilyn Michel and Cynthia Smith and husband Stephen. Step grand-children Matthew Michel, Shayna Smith and husband Logan, Mitchell Michel, Tristan Smith and Brendan Smith and wife Hailey. He is also survived by special friend, Lesa Jacobs. Norm had numerous other relatives and friends.
