Norman Harold Gerber passed away on August 13, 2017 at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eva Sullivan Gerber, daughters Pam Hill & Sharon Smith, son-in-law Paul Sean Hill, grandchildren Chelsea Hill, Aly Hill, Bryan Smith & Ashley Bell, sister Ruth Schonhoff and many other friends and family. Daughter Karen Bell preceded him in death.
Norm was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 8, 1931. He served proudly in the USMC, always reminding us that the Koreans never took Honolulu. He then received a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Houston. He worked in the oil and chemical field his entire career.
Norm will be remembered as always being there for his family, having a quick wit, and beating many medical issues. He was often referred to as the million-dollar man, medical miracle and Energizer Bunny who just kept going.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in his honor to either Kinsmen Lutheran Church (kinsmenlutheran.org) or MarinesHelpingMarines.org.
