Nora Fay Morris, 85, of Cypress, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Houston, Texas.  Nora was born in Bokchito, Oklahoma to Frank and Loreta Tuttle on January 7, 1936.

Nora married Marvin L. Morris on February 27, 1965.  She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin and her sisters, Marie Scott, Ruth Rockey and Claudia Marberry Thomson and son-in-law Quentin Sheffield.  Nora is survived by her 2 daughters, Pam Sheffield and Michele Vogt and husband, Richard, 4 grandchildren, Sarah Holland and husband Grey, Allison Williford and husband Dawson, Joshua Vogt and Lindsey Vogt; 2 great grandchildren, Hayley Hudson and Benjamin Holland and a future Williford great grandchild on the way; 1 sister, Flora Stockton; and 1 brother, Clifford Tuttle and wife Judy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nora was a devoted wife for 47 years.  She supported her husband Marvin in his pipe and supply company. After his retirement, they enjoyed life living in the country and being involved in their church, West End Baptist.   They also enjoyed playing the dominoes game of "42" with lifelong friends for many years.  Nora loved to play "train dominoes" with her family, but you had to play by her rules! She had a special shuffle and then threw her hands up after each shuffle in true Nana style, as her grandchildren referred to her.  She had a passion for cooking and loved to cook for her friends and family.  Her goal was to make sure everyone was well fed and her famous question of the day was, "Didja eat?"  Nora taught her kids and grandkids to cook her yummy dishes and it thrilled her to have someone brag on her cooking!

Nora's twin sister's name is Flora.  Sometimes we refer to them as, "Nonie and Flonie".  They had a deep unwavering love and connection for each other and in fact, if one of them got sick or had an issue, the other sister would be sure to get the same thing within 24 hours!  They spent countless hours talking on the phone to each other and to their brother, Clifford.  They knew the true meaning of the word family!

Nora was what we call in our family, "a Tuttle woman"!  That phrase has many meanings:  Her mother taught them all to be brave.  They could kill a snake without fear, but don't mention a mouse!  Nora never wavered from her deep faith in Jesus and was not afraid to share that faith with everyone she met! She loved her family without hesitation, unconditionally and completely.

She was a firecracker in a small 5 foot tall body who loved fiercely and defended those she loved without reservation.  She was a true hero, full of strength and resilience who battled many health issues for 8 long years.  We will greatly miss her, but we know that she is now reunited with Marvin and all those she loved so dearly! We will see you again one day soon Nora… y'all get those dominoes shuffled, we'll be right there!
