Niki, the beloved daughter of John and Dolores (Fingleman) Beavers, passed peacefully after a brief illness. She was born in Houston, TX and raised in Galena Park where she was a cheerleader at Galena Park High School and graduated in 1972. She worked in the optical field for over 40 years, most recently at Eyeland in Conroe, TX. She volunteered for St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in North Shore by providing glasses to children in need.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Robert Melton and her father John Beavers.

She is survived by her by her mother, Dolores Beavers, her daughter Riki Archibald, Sister Stephanie (Beavers) and husband Tony Ingram, grandsons Caleb, Spc. Alexander (Cade) and Cole, as well as seven nieces and nephews.
