Nicolas Carrizales, 87, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Nick was born on December 6, 1934, in Dilley, Texas, to Manuel and Maria Gomez Carrizales.  Nick married the love of his life, Carmen Martinez, on August 28, 1952.  They were married for 49 years. They were blessed with 9 amazing children.  Nick retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service and was also retired from American Rice Inc., after 20 years.  Nick loved the outdoors and would spend countless hours tending to his garden and his plants.  He loved an occasional game of billiards and was quite competitive.  He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with his family.  He was also an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Nick is survived by his children, Lynda Mac, Gloria Mulrooney, Patricia Roth, C. Terri Hanna, Rick Carrizales, Marc Carrizales, Elizabeth Carrizales and Katrina Carrizales; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; his brothers, Manuel Carrizales III, Robert Carrizales, Juan Carrizales and his sister, Maria Cruz and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen and his son, Nicholas Carrizales Jr; his parents, Manuel and Maria; his brothers, Martin Carrizales, Santos Carrizales and Alex Carrizales, Sr; and his sisters, Petra Godina and Martha Cruz.

Nick would especially be remembered for his humorous, charitable and fiery spirit.  He was a wonderful soul that brought a smile to those around him.  He was greatly loved and will truly be missed.
