Obituary

Nick Pete Bilski, Jr. was born on Saturday, September 18, 1948, in Brenham, TX to Nick and Martha Bilski.  Nick was the oldest of three children. Nick grew up in Houston, TX.  He graduated from Sam Houston High School and later took some courses at University of Houston.

Nick purchased some property and moved to Magnolia, TX in the early 1970's.  He later built a home and resided there for life.

Nick started a career at Shell Oil, in Houston, where he ultimately worked as a lead computer operator.  He worked at Shell for 21 years before resigning to start a new endeavor.  Nick's new endeavor was a small business he created, named Fish Tails.  Nick ran Fish Tails for over 22 years, stocking fish for private lakes and ponds, residential subdivisions, private businesses, county and municipal parks.

Fish Tails thrived because of Nick's great service, quality products, strong work ethics, and undeniable integrity.

Nick met his life partner Richard "Ric" Byrd, in October 1993.  Nick and Ric shared a love of God through faith, worship, and service.  They enjoyed time with family & friends, long lunches, good theatre, and maybe even a nice vacation cruise.  Ah!  Who are we kidding? They lived for cruises!☺️

Nick and Ric lived and loved strongly together for more than 30 wonderful years. They held their wedding on Saturday, June 1, 2024.  Nick passed away in love and peace on Monday, June 3, 2024.
