Nicholas Evan Newman, 29, left this earth unexpectedly on August 9, 2022 at his residence in Houston, Texas. He was born on January 6, 1993 in Houston, the second son of R. Kendall Newman and Tina Manning Barton.

After graduating from Katy High School, Nick travelled with some of the top American High School band members all over Europe, playing his trumpet.  He left a baby-faced boy and came home with his first beard. Nick attended Lone Star College and graduated from University of Houston in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering.  His was currently employed at Dow Chemical in Freeport. While in college, he also worked for Freebirds.

Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don & Nan Newman and James & Lillian Manning. Surviving Nick are his mother and step-father, Tina and Mack Barton, step brother Shane Barton; his dad and step-mom, Kendall and Deb Newman; brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Chelsea Newman and their two sons, Ned and Nolan; step-sister and her husband, Priscilla & Mark Jasper and children, Aiden, Savannah, Emma, and Blake; step-brother and his wife, Kevin & Cori Faichtinger and their daughter, Madi; Uncle Dale & Aunt Cindy Manning, cousin Dalton Manning, Uncle Keith and Aunt Sandi Newman and cousins Maddy and Hunter Williams and Jake Newman; Aunt Susan & Uncle Leo Young, cousins Leo and Lauren Young, and Meghan and Nathan Allen, and their daughters, Clara & Maggie.

The visitation will be on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. and the service will begin immediately after at 10:00 a.m. at Klein Funeral Home: 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia TX 77354. The reception will be at Nick's home at 5726 Village Green Drive, Katy, TX 77493.
