Nicholas Gabriel Morris, 91, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026. Born on January 31, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to Neofitos and Evdokia (Eva) Morris, Nick lived a life of faith and an unwavering dedication to family.

After graduating from high school in 1953, Nick was hired by the Texas Company in the Chrysler building on 42nd Street in New York City. His first full-time job was as an office boy to the Chairman of the Board. The Texas Company later became Texaco, and Nick went on to work there for an incredible forty-two years at various roles in Linden, Newark and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and finally in Houston, Texas. With more to contribute after retirement, Nick went on to work for Klein ISD Transportation Department for twenty years, giving back to the community he loved dearly.

Nick and his brothers were the first generation from their family born in the United States. Although they were proud of their Greek heritage, Nick was very honored to have served in the United States Army National Guard for six years between the Korean and Vietnam War. Nick was a superb baseball player and had the opportunity to play baseball in the Army with Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale, a dream come true for Nick who was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers fan growing up!

Nick married the love of his life, Jean Rose Crocitto, on May 1, 1966. They lived in Sayreville, Wayside, and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Finally, in 1983, the family relocated to Spring, Texas. Together, Nick and Jean raised three children. They have been active members of St. Edward Catholic Church for the past forty-three years.

Growing up, Nick could be found with friends on the ski slopes of Vermont in the winter and the sandy beaches of the Jersey shore during the summer. After marrying, Nick passed down his love of the beach to his kids, as they spent every summer day at the Jersey shore. He was a skilled and avid bowler and played a mean game of Scrabble. Given his love for baseball, Nick coached numerous teams for his children for nearly a decade. In recent years, you could find him at the poker table or playing dominos with friends and grandkids. He also never met a puzzle he couldn't finish! If it involved family or traditions, be it Greek or Italian, Nick was always right in the middle of it...whether it was cracking red eggs and shouting "Christos Anesti" during Greek Easter or loosening his belt during the Italian "Feast of the Seven Fishes" Christmas Eve dinner. Nick's greatest gift was bringing a smile to the faces of all his family and friends through humor, wittiness, singing, and dancing. He truly never met a stranger and was the life of every party.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Gene and Milton, sister-in-law Mickey and brother- in-law Dominic Crocitto.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Jean Rose Morris; his three children: sons Paul; Michael and his wife Rebecca; daughter Maria and her husband Mark Hartmann; and ten cherished grandchildren: Crystal & Nicole Morris, Mitchell & Brandon Massoth, Mason & Madison Morris, Christina, Rachel, Anna and Nicholas Hartmann. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Caldwell (Morris) and his nine beloved nieces and nephews: Darlene Matire, Kathleen Failla, Thomas Morris, James Morris, AnnMarie Paquette, Laura Crocitto, Frank Crocitto, James Crocitto and Joseph Crocitto.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8th from 5:00 to 7:00pm, at Klein Funeral Home-Champions, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Klein, Texas 77379, immediately followed by a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 9th at 10:30am at St. Edward Catholic Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner Road, Spring, Texas 77389. A lunch reception with the family will be held immediately following the mass at St. Edward. The Rite of Committal will follow at Klein Memorial Park-Spring Klein, 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, Texas 77375.
