Nicholas Daniel Cassiani passed away on the afternoon of November 10, 2024.  He was 37 years old.

Nicholas was born in Houston and attended Klein schools and graduated from Klein High School in 2005.  He attended the University of North Texas in Denton.  He originally majored in the Arts but moved on to study Mathematics and Physics.  He left UNT for opportunities to work for companies designing software to manage databases, designing web pages and troubleshooting the hardware and software of different types of networks.  Initially working for several companies most of his work was done as a freelance engineer.  For a period of time, he owned and operated his own company. This allowed him to pursue other passions.

From an early age Nick had great interest in computers as well as art.  He ultimately combined these skills to create music.  First as a DJ, known as "4-D", in local pubs and bars creating electronic dance music known as Dubstep.  Later expanding and performing punk and ska-punk music with different bands.  He was one of the original members of the punk band Snatch Punch that toured extensively in Texas.  He went on later to play bass for the ska-punk band MadalineSka.  He was a skilled musician.  He was a volunteer DJ at radio station KNON and used his skills to arrange audio equipment for volunteer activities.  He also collaborated with and helped others produce music.

Helping others was a big part of Nick's life.  He helped those who were caught in unfortunate circumstances.  His kindness and understanding of people were limitless.  He cared very much for those less fortunate.  His laughter and silliness along with his good heart will be missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Janet Cassiani; brother Mark and Sister-in-law Hannah Cassiani; nephew, Caden Cassiani; beloved partner, Madeleine Freeman; uncles, Steve Cassiani and wife Carol, John Cassiani and wife Susan, and Daniel Hagerty; aunt, Joanne Hagerty; and numerous cousins and countless friends.
