Nhieu Thi Phung, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, at the age of 96 in Cypress, Texas.  Born on May 15, 1928, in Thai Binh, Vietnam, she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family.

Nhieu is survived by her five children, daughters – Thanh and Thoa and sons - Thuan Van, Thuan Minh, and Tien, two sons-in-law – Loc & Long, three daughters-in-law – Hue, Thuy & Theresa, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and her sister, Vu Thi Cong.  She is cherished for her unwavering support and guidance throughout their lives. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her late beloved husband, Tran Van Yen, and her youngest son, Tran Minh Thao who passed away at the early age of 21 from the Vietnam War.  Her warmth and kindness touched the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

A Life Well-Lived

Nhieu's journey was one of resilience and strength. After bravely fleeing her homeland due to the fall of Saigon in 1975, she embraced her new life in America, creating a loving home for her family. Her unwavering spirit and determination inspired those around her, and her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched.
