Nathaniel Jones was born in Marlin, Texas on January 27, 1954, and passed away in Houston, Texas on June 2, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Nathaniel Jones and Ellie Lee Jones; sisters, Onnie Scott, and Celesta Lois Anderson; brother, Dennis Jones; and brothers-in-law, Bobby Scott, CW Anderson, and Roosevelt Jackson.
Nathaniel is survived by his loving wife, Janice Jones; his son, Carrington Nahshon Jones; granddaughter, Ahmari Genesis Jones; brothers, Oliver Jones and wife Jean, and Ted Jones and wife Ola; sisters, Patricia Jackson, Theresa Stewart and husband George, and twin sister Nadean Delley and husband Robert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, June 12, 2023 with a funeral service for Nathaniel to follow directly at 10:30 am on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1st Baptist Church Houston, 7401 Katy Frwy., Houston, TX 77024. He will be laid to rest at 2pm on Monday, June 12, 2023 in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, TX.
