Nathan Edwin Gaskill went to the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2021.   He was born July 1, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ernest Roy and Juanita (Burge) Gaskill.  His Dad fought first in the Spanish American War in 1898.  He served on the special forces in Puerto Rico and was sent home after that short war.  When the US joined World War One on April 6, 1927 he was among the first of American Troops that landed by ship in France. After one year he was honorably discharged and went home and married Juanita in 1929.  They soon moved to Kansas City, Missouri where they had four girls and two boys one of which is Nathan.  In 1942 the family moved to a farm in Centertown, Missouri where Nathan grew up.  The family moved to Jefferson City, Mo in 1955 and Nathan's Father died in 1956.  In Jefferson City, Nathan met and married the love of his life, Bonnie Jean (Raithel) Gaskill on August 22, 1957.  Nathan is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Donna Jurd (Gaskill) and Marian Smith (Gaskill) and also his beloved wife of over 61 years, Bonnie Jean Gaskill (Raithel).  He is survived by a brother Jimmy Gaskill of Missouri and twin sisters Shirley Zbinden (Gaskill) of Missouri and Sharon Madden (Gaskill) of Ohio.

Nathan had a lifelong hobby of doing woodworking and built beautiful furniture and other items that will always be cherished.  He and Bonnie had five children, the first was Michael who lived only a day.   Nathan held many jobs to support his family, who he and Bonnie lived for.  On May 30, 1960 Nathan went to work at the National Cash Register Company as a field engineer.  In October 1968 he was transferred to Houston, Texas.  After a long career he retired with NCR in 1993.  Nathan and Bonnie are survived by their four children and their spouses, Sheree Lynn Varney (Bob), Bradley Allen Gaskill (Cindy), Stephanie Kaye Stults (Jimmy), and Bryan Scott Gaskill (Noelle).  They are also survived by many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren some of who came from second marriages all whom they loved dearly.  They were wonderful parents, grandparents, great grandparents, Aunt and Uncle and siblings and friends.

The kids are now celebrating the life and love of their parents who are whole and restored now, together again, and with the Lord.
