Nancy L. Wood, 65, of Montgomery, Texas passed away April 6, 2022. Nancy was born October 17, 1956, in New Haven, Connecticut to the late Dr. Edwin C. Wood and Muriel Schweer Wood.

Nancy is survived by her wife, Sandy Baker, mother, Muriel Schweer Wood, brother Barry Wood and wife Loraine, nieces Hope Wood, Cara Wood, Katlin Wood, stepmother Shelley Wood and stepbrother Rex Johnson, numerous co-workers and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Dr. Edwin C. Wood and brother Tom Wood.

Nancy was born in New Haven, Connecticut and grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. She attended Western Connecticut Community College graduating in 1978.  She moved to Houston, Texas in 1978 where she began a career in the health care field for over 35 years as a Nursing Home Administrator. She served for numerous years on the board of directors of the Texas Health Care Association. Nancy went back to school during her career to earn her bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona.

Nancy loved life and the people in her life with a passion. She always saw the brighter side of any situation and proceeded with a positive attitude. She was a kind gentle soul that cared for all those who crossed her path.  Nancy will be loved by many forever and dearly missed by us all.

A celebration of life event will be held at The Palm in Woodforest Community, 285 Central Pines St. Montgomery, TX 77316 on June 5th, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 5:00pm
