Nancy Arlene Merchant Saxon passed away Monday, December 6th, 2021 in Spring, Texas. Nancy was born July 28th, 1949 in Austin, Texas to Phyllis Merchant and Arthur Merchant who she loved dearly and loved to keep their memory alive. Nancy was an avid reader and emersed herself in her books and even worked at Barnes and Noble as she wanted to share her passion of books to others. Nancy was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for others, especially her Texas cookie sheet and fudge which was shared with many.

Nancy loved her, St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, and her church family. Nancy served as a prayer partner for Kids Hope Program and was in a ladies Cursillo Reunion group; these ladies became fantastic friends and Sisters in Christ. Nancy loved our Country and was a Native Texan. She carried out our state motto of being a true Friendship state, with so many friends. Nancy's biggest love and joy would be her daughter and best-friend, Carrie.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Carrie Hampe and husband Troy; sister, Ann Mills, husband John; nephew, Michael Sanders; niece, Lisa Favors; Aunt, Elizabeth Glass; and many great nieces and nephews as well as extended cousins.
