Obituary

Nancy Padilla Ivy

Nancy joined our Lord in Paradise on May 21, 2019 in Tomball, Texas. She was born on November 19, 1957 in Ft. Lewis, Washington.  She grew up in San Francisco and Daly City, California and attended El Camino High School. Her husband, Steve, and her children along with her sister, Brenda, were with her at her bedside.

She had a career in Personal Lines Insurance for 35 years with the Aetna Life and Casualty and Travelers Insurance companies and later worked as a cashier for HEB grocery store in Brenham, TX for approximately 7 years.  She loved talking and laughing with her customers and co-workers and they loved her.  Nancy loved to cook for her family especially preparing her famous lumpias by the hundreds for all to deep-fry and eat. She was a beautiful wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Modesto Padilla, her mother, Rosita Padilla and her sister, Teresita David. She leaves behind three children, John Steven Ivy, Jr and his wife Amy, Heather Ivy Mueller and her husband, Chase, Matthew W. Ivy and his fiancé, Carley.

She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Kyzer Aleman, Arden Faye Ivy, Mia Avery Mueller, and Laken Grace Ivy.  She enjoyed being a grandmother so very much especially in the last days.  She also leaves behind 4 sisters and 4 brothers and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff and doctors at Kindred Hospital and Houston Methodist Hospital for their kindness, friendship and professionalism that helped to sustain Nancy during her 7-month fight with cancer.

A Memorial Service has been set for Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home at 1400 W Main St, Tomball, Texas.
