Nancy Ferrell Davis, 82, of Spring, TX, passed from this life on February 19, 2026.
Nancy was born on March 1st, 1943, to James and Margaret Ferrell in Memphis, TN.
Her life was a beautiful journey shaped by curiosity, humor, adventure, and a deep love for people. She moved a lot as a child, which gave her a love of new places and an ease with making new friends. She was an athlete, a cheerleader, and an active church member.
She began her college education at Mississippi Southern. After meeting and falling for Bob at a fraternity party, she joined him at the University of Houston. During her college years, Nancy was a member of Chi Omega and the Sweetheart of Bob's fraternity: Delta Chi.
On October 31, 1964, Nancy and Bob were married in Houston. They moved to Indiana, where Nancy graduated top of her class from Ball State University with degrees in English and Education.
Nancy devoted her life to nurturing minds and hearts. She raised two wonderful daughters, Stacey and Angie, with love and selflessness. As an educator, she taught English at Klein and Klein Oak High School. Always the student, Nancy went on to earn two masters degrees from Sam Houston State University in Psychology and School Counseling. She went on to serve as a school counselor at Klein Oak, guiding students with empathy, wisdom, and encouragement.
Nancy loved art, music, literature and travel. She traveled with her husband, with her daughters, and with a host of girlfriends collecting stories, laughter, and memories that became treasured chapters of her life.
Above all, Nancy loved people. She deeply loved her family, had a large, diverse group of friends and never met a stranger. She loved sharing stories, ideas, experiences, and laughter.
Though Nancy has left this world, her spirit lives on in the love she gave, the wisdom she shared, and the memories and fun she created. Her family will forever remember her as a woman of love, grace, intellect and humor.
Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the students she guided, and the family and friends who were lucky enough to walk beside her.
