Myrtle (Kitty) Emma Heerssen Nowotnik, 96, of Spring, Texas, entered her eternal rest on June 2, 2024. Kitty was born May 20, 1928, in Freyburg, Texas to the late Willie Heerssen and Emma (Stichler) Heerssen. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1945. She married the love of her life Hank Nowotnik on November 30, 1945. Hank and Kitty were blessed with 60 years of marriage. Kitty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Kitty was a faithful member of Trinity Klein Lutheran Church where she enjoyed service to the Lord by volunteering in different ways.

Including her parents Kitty was preceded in death by her husband Henry (Hank) Notwotnik, son

Dennis Notwotnik, daughter Sandra Kay Fletcher, and sisters Edna Bretting, Evelyn Roesel and Earline Wachsmann.

Kitty is survived by her two grandsons, Rocky (Sarah) Fletcher, Luke (Lindsay) Fletcher;

four great grandchildren, Evan Fletcher, Bennett Fletcher, Jonas Fletcher, Madelyn Fletcher; son-in-law Michael Fletcher, as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive visitors Monday, June 24, 2024, from 11 AM to 12 PM at Trinity

Klein Lutheran Church, 5201 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, Texas. Funeral Services will

be held immediately following, with Rev. Ralph Hobratschk officiating. Reception to follow at 1

PM. Graveside Services will be held 3 PM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North FWY

Houston, Texas 77060.

Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Ganze, Gary Hintze, Pastor Skip Wachsmann, Steve Roesel, Larry Wallace, and Michael Zuhn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Klein Lutheran Church or Ladies Aid.
