Mitchell Brian Lees, 57, of Houston, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2024. He was born on April 2, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa to David Val and Joyce Ann (Sweeney) Lees.

Mitch was proud of playing and coaching ice hockey for over 35 years. He was later an avid mountain biker and golfer. He shared these activities with many treasured friends. He loved camping with friends and his family. He was incredibly handy and happy to apply his can-do spirit to all that surrounded him.

He graduated from Mason City High School in Mason City, Iowa then St Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a degree in Sociology. He enjoyed a successful career in companies serving the residential real estate industry after moving to Houston in 1995. Mitch enjoyed over 28 years working in management and recruitment where he developed many lasting relationships that he considered family. His current position was the Division President for Allegiance Title of Houston.

Mitch met his wife Kristin Dianne Henderson shortly after moving to Houston and they were wed in 1998. They were then transferred to Austin where they had two daughters, Ashlyn Carrie and Reagan Cain. They completed their family shortly after returning to Houston in 2003 with their son, Mason Rein. He was fully devoted to and proud of his family. Like everything he did in life he was all in. He was greatly loved because he loved greatly all that he encountered.

He is survived by his wife and three children, mother Joyce and David Spencer, wife's parents Dianne & Jim Riley, brother James Jeffrey Lees, sister Tiffany Ann Lees along with numerous extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hearthstone Country Club 7615 Ameswood Road on November 23rd from 2-5pm open house with brief services beginning at 3pm and we welcome others to join us in honoring and remembering him.
