Minnie Alrene Hall went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2021, after a nine-year battle with dementia. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her husband, Charles Ray Hall, who preceded her in death in 2019.
Alrene grew up in Tyler, Texas, and attended Texas Woman's University in Denton, where she earned her degree in Library Science and met Charles Hall. In 1958, they married in Tyler, Texas at Green Acres Baptist Church. They moved to Pasadena where they lived until a job transfer sent them to New Orleans in 1969. Alrene was the school librarian at Habens Elementary School in Metairie, Louisiana until 1974 when their final move brought them to the Houston area and Hildebrandt Intermediate in Klein ISD. She retired from Klein ISD in 1996 but continued volunteering countless hours at the CFBC library with Jane Hope for almost 40 years until her illness prevented her from doing so.
"Minnie Mom" as she was known to her family, is survived by her son, Wayne (Pamela) Hall of Tomball, Texas, and daughter Debbie (Randy) Majors of Scottsdale, Arizona, grandchildren Jason (Nicki) Hall of Tampa, Florida, Cameron (Aubrey) Hall of Cypress, Texas, Draegen (Caroline) Majors of Dallas, Texas, Seaver (Paige) Hall of Cypress, Texas, Karsten (Taylor) Majors of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kyla Hall of College Station, Texas and 5 great-grandsons.
Alrene selflessly served others in many avenues. From serving as President for the Church and Synagogue Library Association, developing library systems for Churches and Synagogues, selling library systems, and teaching sewing to homeschool groups.
Alrene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She was a member of Champion Forest Baptist Church for 47 years and has been a faithful friend to all.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Minnie Alrene Hall with donations to the Champion Forest Library or the Tomball Museum.
