Milton H. Ramsey

1937-2022

Milton H. Ramsey of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on June 11, 2022, at the age of 84. Since 2020, he received care by Compassus Hospice and loving caregivers.

Milton was born on July 16, 1937, in Houston, Texas. He was the eldest of two children of Milton Sr. and Martha Ramsey.

Milton graduated from Reagan High School and received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. He retired as a Professional Engineer from Chevron in 1999, during which time he received numerous awards. Milton later worked for other oil and gas companies. He was a dedicated Christian and an active member of his church. He enjoyed reading, Bible Study, woodworking, and fishing. One of his many accomplishments was serving as the Commissioner of the North Hampton Community Fire Department in Spring; he helped to build the original fire house. Serving God and enjoying his family were his favorite pastimes.

Milton was married to Carolyn Ramsey for over 42 years. Carolyn preceded him in death, as well as his daughter, Vicki Ramsey, and his parents.

Milton is survived by his wife of over 22 years, Cathy Cashman-Ramsey, sister, Martha (Jerry) Hennig of Schertz, Texas, sister in-law, Pat McCarty, of Houston, Texas, sons Mark (Pauline) Ramsey and Matthew (Karen) Ramsey, stepsons Jason (Jennifer) Stokes and Jordan (Sarah) Stokes. He is also survived by 13 beloved grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 nieces.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, in the Chapel of Woodlands Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Methodist Children's Home in Waco, Texas. https://www.mch.org/
