Obituary

Milton Walter Livingston
11/13/1929 ~ 7/18/2023

Milton Walter Livingston, 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his home in Cypress, Texas July 18, 2023.

Milton was born in Del Rio, Texas. He spent his childhood in west Texas. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1948. Soon after graduating, Milton proudly served his country, enlisting in the USAF. He was stationed in Okinawa during the Korean War. Upon his discharge, he moved to Houston and attended the University of Houston. It was at this time he met the love of his life, Ruth Lavon Price. They were married December 30, 1953.

Milton began his career in the automotive business at Don McMillan Ford. He soon became a very successful car salesman. His outgoing personality and friendly natured endeared him to everyone and he counted many customers as lifelong friends. His sales career took him from Don McMillan Ford, to Russell and Smith Ford and Smith Honda of Conroe where he retired.  He decided he wasn't quite ready to retire completely and went to work with a good friend at Monarch Trophy in Conroe for a few more years.

Milton enjoyed drawing caricatures and cartoons, telling jokes and spending time with family and friends. Milton cared for everyone and was there anytime he was needed. He lovingly cared for his mother-in-law, Gladys, and his wife in their years of failing health. Family was everything to Milton. He loved having the whole family together.

Milton was a fan of the Houston Astros, Houston Oilers and the Houston Texans. He loved going to Cy Fair High School and Cypress Ranch High School football games. He was always there to cheer on his children and grandchildren at their football games and halftime shows.

Milton was predeceased by his beloved wife of 64 years, Ruth Livingston, his parents Natalia and Leo L. Livingston, brother J. Ray Livingston, sisters Billie Fletcher, Sarah Jane Caskey and Louise Livingston, and two infant grandsons Daniel Keith Williams and Damon Silva.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Debra Vinson, Sandy Williams (Joel), Ginger Thevenote (Tom) and his son Russell Livingston (Denise). He is also survived by his sister, Kathryn Olivares, and grandchildren Nathan, Lindsay and Ross Williams, Ainsley and Aaron Thevenote, and Bryce and Brooke Livingston.
