Throughout many years of health and medical trials, Leon remained a faithful servant of Jesus and held fast in his faith. Leon served as Owner of McClain Trailers, Inc. since 1969 starting as a sole proprietor. Over the years, he oversaw and led the expansion of the business to multiple locations along the Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama Gulf Coast. He was a long-time member of the Houston Boat & Trade Association, serving as President in 1994. Leon was an avid outdoorsman enjoying many hunting and fishing trips with numerous close friends that he maintained through the years. His hunting excursions with his faithful bird dog, Luke, were cherished and storied memories for Leon and his friends. Leon was proud of his restored 1936 Ford, taking it to many car shows and winning a few trophies along the way. "Papa" spent countless hours watching and cheering for his grandchildrens' volleyball, football, and baseball games. He was known for his kindness and generosity, making many quiet and anonymous gifts to friends and family in need without any recognition or notoriety. In his later years, Leon enjoyed relaxing around his home and fishing in his lake, spending time with his family and many friends.
