Mildred Mae Coleman Ruhlen

Born July 29 th , 1917 in Ohio. Final destination achieved on November 16 th , 2016 from Spring, Texas.

She was preceded in death by:

Her parents: Edward D and Selma Marie Graft Coleman.

Sisters: Veta, Juanita and Lucille. Brothers: Charles and Robert.

Husband: Paul Lawrence Ruhlen.

Survived by one daughter, Debra Ann Ruhlen Lutton and husband Glenn Roger Lutton. Grandchildren: Melissa Mae Lutton Dennis and husband Daniel. Elizabeth Ann Lutton Hill and husband Edward. Kathleen Marie Lutton Tindal and husband Zak Tindal. and John Michael Lutton.

Survived by sisters: Doris Hayen, Martha Meyers, and Bonnie Kitchings.

Survived by great grandchild: Eliana Hill

Mildred graduated from Elmhurst High School-Fort Wayne, Indiana May 31 st ,1935, with 64 graduates.

She met her husband, Paul in California. They were married on January 11 th , 1956. 30 years later they moved to Georgia to live with Debra and Glenn. Shortly after their arrival in Georgia, we all moved to Spring, Texas. Mom lived with us until her death.

Mildred worked during WWII at G.E. as a floor supervisor. In Sun Valley, California she worked assembling cassette tapes.

She supported many ministries, missionaries, The Native American Indians, Pleasant Hills Children's home and animal shelters(never would a stray cat or dog would go hungry if they showed up round their house) . She was an active member of the church, she would even go although she couldn't hear everything. She would read to our children, make great meat loaf, get the mail, walk the dog (Pebbles). She never learned to drive although, and using electronic gadgets weren't her thing either. Her last car trip was to Dallas, to celebrate John's 18th birthday, and Christmas and meeting Ed and Eliana for the first time.
