Mike Deleon Llamas, 47, of Tomball, passed away December 23, 2023. He was born January 21, 1976, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Juanita Llamas Colunga.
He is survived by his, wife, Josie Llamas; daughters, Elizabeth Holloway (Rob), Angel Wenzel, Cecelia Larson (Andrew), and Sherrie Cantu; son, Ricky Llamas; Granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Larson; Sisters, Norma Nunez, Aida Christina Colunga, and Isys Llamas Harris; brother, Jerry Colunga; brother, Juan Jose Elizondo Jr.
Including his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Matias Llamas; grandmother, Juanita Llamas; brother, Robert Kiki Colunga.
Mike's favorite things to do were helping people, cooking, and doing family things. Every time someone needed help, on the side of the road, a helping hand, or just someone to talk to, he was there. He loved to cook also, one of my favorite restaurants closed down and he looked up a recipe and surprised me with my favorite dish from there. But his most favorite thing was Family Fun Nights. It could be movie night with popcorn and M&Ms or a very competitive game night. Mike also loved his country so much that he joined the Army and with almost 15 years and rising to the rank of Sergeant he never lost his love for family bonding. His last duty station was the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell and he was put in charge of settling the recruits into their barracks. There were so many days when we would just be making home-cooked meals for the soldiers or he would tell them to reach out to him if they needed help, someone to talk to, or a designated driver. He also had this uncanny ability to remember every single person's name from elementary school to the Army to past friends and coworkers. Mike was always reaching out to friends on Facebook and was so thankful to be with his son, daughters, and siblings at the end of his journey.
