It is with heavy hearts that we bid a final farewell to Mr. Mikahy "Kia" Jerimiah Fraser, 16, of Cypress, TX, who went to rest at the Lord's side on April 23, 2023. A highly ambitious soul, he is well-remembered for his compassionate nature, creative mind, unshakable optimism, and boundless love for his family and friends. No one will forget his wild ability to make others laugh, incredible athletic gifts, outgoing personality, nor his entrepreneurial spirit.

Mikahy – affectionately called "Meek" by those closest to him – was born on March 12, 2007, in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was the only son born to Kumba Hali and Michael Fraser. At two years old, he moved with his mother to Houston, Texas, where he attended Postma and Andre Elementary Schools, Anthony Middle School, and Cy Springs High School.

Always aspiring to reach the likes of his professional athlete uncle, Tamba, basketball was everything to this young man since the day he joined the Langham Creek YMCA team in 2015. In addition to being a member of the local Steam Ahead Basketball team, Mikahy played for Cy Springs' ninth and tenth basketball teams, they were named 2023 divisional champs. Because of his contributions, they achieved many accolades from the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

A natural-born leader, entrepreneurship was the future Mikahy was working toward when he was taken from us far too soon. He even launched his own apparel line, Addicted 2 Winning . He thoroughly enjoyed creating designs for his garments, always working humbly and passionately with a deep understanding of the value of his work.

As a proud member of the Ruach Life Center, faith was always a big part of Mikahy's life. He leaned on Our Father in good times and bad, as did his whole family. He was undeniably blessed as a Lamb of God.

Mikahy Fraser was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Verna Lorine Marr Hali. Left to cherish his everlasting memory are his proud mother, Kumba Hali; father, Michael Fraser; doting grandparents, Rachel Togba, Henry Hali, Leslie Fraser, and Delilah Dickerson; great-grandmother, Mollie Gould; beautiful sisters, Maliya and Ahniya Fraser-Gomez; many adoring uncles and aunts, including, Tamba L. Hali, Saah Hali, Tamba B. Hali, , Fayah Hali, Werna Lewis, Marvyn Lewis, Mary Hali, and Sabria Dickerson; and a host of treasured cousins, extended relatives, close friends, and teammates. His radiant legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.
