In Loving Memory of Dr. Miguel Eduardo Bosch Blumenfeld

Our beloved father, husband, son, brother and uncle, Dr. Miguel Eduardo Bosch Blumenfeld, born in Caracas on September 11, 1959, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Houston after a courageous battle with cancer.

In his youth, he attended the Colegio Emil Friedman, graduating in 1976. He went on to study Physics at La Universidad Simón Bolívar. He then specialized in Geophysics at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and earned his PhD from the Institut de Physique du Globe in Paris. He spent two years as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, accompanied by his wife Elsa and their sons Eduardo and Antonio. Following the birth of his daughter Andreina, he continued his career as a professor at UCV. After retiring from his academic position, he founded his companies, Info Geosciences and later Info Analytics, both of which remained active until just three months ago.

Miguel was a lover of nature, technology, and innovation. He was deeply passionate about human rights and social causes. Throughout his life, he found purpose and meaning in helping others, sharing ideas, learning, creating new technologies and supporting his family. He was profoundly dedicated to his loved ones and to the artistry of his profession. He was always an active, gentle, and loving father, and to his colleagues and employees, he was a generous collaborator and educator.

He loved swimming, cooking, leaning how things work, doing DIY, traveling, and appreciating the beauty of the natural world—but his favorite activity was spending time with his family.

He will always be remembered for his contributions to the scientific community, the kindness he extended to everyone he met, and the boundless love he gave to his family.
