Michael Alan Zuercher

October 2, 1984 - July 29, 2016

Michael Alan Zuercher of Cypress, TX, passed away on July 29, 2016. Michael was born October 2, 1984, to Mary Ann Cunningham and Marty Zuercher. He graduated from Tomball High School in 2003, thereafter joining the United States Army.

He served from 2003-2006 as an infantryman in the United States Army. Michael was a combat war veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Infantryman Badge and Air Assault Badge.

Michael was married to Michelle Zuercher and was a father to three children, Christian, Daisy and Ray. He was caring, loving, hardworking and genuine. He was a man of character who's friendship knew no bounds. He was a husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and friend loved by all.

Michael was preceded in death by grandfathers Joe Scholz and Ray Haddad, and uncle Rowdy Woodard.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Zuercher; children, Christian, Daisy and Ray; mother, Mary Ann Cunningham; father, Marty Zuercher; stepfather, Joe Cunningham; sisters, Cristen Gauthier and Michelle Thompson; and grandparents, Judy and Joe Munoz and Aletha Woodard.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Boulevard, Houston, TX 77065. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in the Hankamer Chapel at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive, Houston, TX 77057.
