Michael Riley 76, of Magnolia, Texas passed away Saturday, November 5th, 2016. Michael was born March 27th, 1940 in Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roxie Mae and Harold Samuel Riley, brothers, Lee Riley and Harold Riley, sisters Bobbie Davis, Betty Coker and Elizabeth Dziedzic.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Marie. His daughter, Elizabeth Diane Goodman and husband Timothy, son Michael Wayne Riley and wife Christine, son Raymond Rauen and wife Tammy.
His grandchildren Bradley Riley, Devin Riley, Valerie Stephens, Shelby Goodman and wife Rachel, Garret Goodman and wife Symone, Shaun Goodman, Kori Rauen, Kristin Rauen and fiancé Cody Bonner. His triplet brother Patrick Riley, brother-in-law Frank Dziedzic, and sister-in-law Gayla Newton and husband Frank. He loved his honorary children Rachel, Beth and Jason Mayes(Susan). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael was a loving husband, dad and papa. His generosity, kindness and caring spirit touched many people. He cared deeply for others and was a born again Christian. His relationship with Christ was intimate and the most important relationship in his life. Christ gave him strength and understanding. He loved to read his bible and he loved scripture, but his favorite verse was Proverbs 3:5, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. His devotion and love of the Lord was a beautiful testimony to his family.
Michael was a gifted a carpenter, as was his father. He enjoyed remodeling his home and crafting furniture for his family. It gave him great joy to share his talent with others.
He joined the Army when he was 18, and served his country. Following his military service, he worked over thirty five years for Memorial Herman Hospital, retiring in 2007.
He enjoyed his work and made numerous friends over the years.
He worked hard to provide for the needs of those he loved the most. He had a very compassionate heart and quick wit. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
