Michael (Mike) Ray Thomason, proud father of three, and beloved Grandfather to his seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, passed away on December 18, 2020, surrounded by family.

Mike was born September 20, 1946 in Houston, Texas, and welcomed by his father and mother, Cleo and Inez Thomason, and his older sister Patricia.

Mike was known as an avid and overly enthusiastic sports fan.  He was a season ticket holder to the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing.  He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports.

Mike loved his job.  He built a strong career in sales from retail department stores to hardware and then on to the job he enjoyed the most at Lonestar Chevrolet.  Through his work he developed many lifelong friendships.  His generosity made a powerful impact on others.

Mike is survived by his by his daughters Michelle Liljestrand, Shawn Thomason and Tamra Kolin and her husband Gene Kolin; and grandchildren, Austin Lewis and his wife, Hilary Lewis, Meagan Liljestrand, Derek Liljestrand, Madison Sund, Lindsey Kolin, Braysen Nowak and Alicia (Alli) Kolin; and great grandchildren, Aidryanna Lewis, Maizee Lewis and Koen Lewis.  Mike was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister.
