Michael graduated from Kimball High School in Dallas and went on to obtain a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas, where he was a proud member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and the Talons spirit organization. After graduation, he joined the Army National Guard, proudly serving the country he loved. While at UNT, Michael met Gloria, the love of his life. They were married soon after graduation and just celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary on June 3 rd of this year.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Phillips; daughter, Lainie Walker and husband Brandon Walker; grandchildren, Kailie Walker and Cooper "Beau" Walker; nephew, Nathan Phillips, and niece, Stephanie Harris.

The family will receive visitors Friday, September 1 st , 1:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, Tomball. Interment will follow at Klein Memorial Park, Pinehurst.
