Michael Gene McDonald was born in Denver City, TX on January 28, 1963.  He passed away in Tomball, Texas on August 18, 2025 at 62 years old, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and kindness. He was a devoted husband of 43 years to the love of his life, Debbie McDonald, a proud father to his daughters Ashley, Megan, and Hallie and a friend to many - he truly never met a stranger.

Michael made his home in Spring, Texas, where he built not only a life but also strong relationships through his career as a construction foreman and backhoe operator. He was known for his work ethic, steady leadership, and the respect he earned from everyone on the job site.

Outside of work, Michael had a deep passion for custom design car shows, woodworking, and attending Street Outlaws live events. He loved craftsmanship in all forms, whether in a finely built engine or a carefully carved piece of wood, and took joy in the creativity and detail behind custom car designs. He found joy and satisfaction in building something with his hands.

Those who knew Michael will remember his generous spirit, warm smile, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. He lived his life with integrity and heart, always putting his family first.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his daughters and their spouses — Ashley and Ronnie Nichols, Megan and Dakota Goode, and Hallie and Selma Herrera; as well as his siblings: James McDonald, Richard McDonald, John McDonald, Charles McDonald, and Lisa Rollins, all of whom will carry his memory forward with love and pride. He is preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Betty McDonald.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A  funeral service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at 2pm on Monday August 25, 2025 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance and to honor his legacy.
