Mike was born on February 26, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents John and Josephine Winter. He passed away at home on May 11, 2018.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 50 years, Lynn Miller Winter, his son and daughter-in-law James and Samantha Winter, his daughter and son-in-law Courtney Winter and Eric Dunagan, his sisters Kathy Zabak and Janice Gerald, and brothers Tom Winter, Cliff Winter and David Winter. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jack Winter. He is also survived by four beautiful grandchildren, Alex and Kate Winter, and Brooks and Mackenzie Dunagan.
In 1982, Mike moved his family to Spring, Texas with BFGoodrich Chemicals and eventually became self-employed in the petrochemical business for many years. Mike's greatest joy in life was his family. He and wife Lynn spent many hours on the sidelines at Courtney's sports games, mentored both children from a business and financial standpoint and provided his love and guidance that will be forever treasured. His other interests included reading Tom Clancy novels, daily newspaper crossword puzzles, gardening, cigars and he was a big fan of The University of Texas Longhorns and The Houston Astros. Mike had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.
