On Friday, May 13, Michael Charles Feehery passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Mike is survived by Alice Feehery, his wife of 43 years, daughter Elizabeth Bicocco and her husband Filippo Bicocco, grandchildren Mario and Giovanni Bicocco, daughter Katy Feehery and her fiancé Jorge Mejia, niece and daughter in our hearts Sylvia Jean Morrison and her children Alexandria, Stephen and Beau Michael Black.

Born in Houston, Texas to Leo Thomas and Joan Howell Feehery, Mike is the brother of Tom and Jill Feehery, Paul and Sherry Feehery, Pete and Linda Feehery, Mary and Tim Halblieb, Peggy and Ernest Shoemate, Matt and Kim Feehery, Tim and Missy Feehery, Ginger and Troy Shunka and his favorite baby, baby sister, Dorothy Feehery.

Mike graduated from Saint Thomas High School in 1976. He started working in the insulation services industry at age 15, established a foothold, and achieved success working his way up.  First opening the SPI Houston branch in 1989, Mike became a business leader who helped bring SPI, an insulation products and distribution company, to greater heights during his 33 years working there. He was a past president of SWICA and also a member of NIA who was always willing to learn and share his knowledge and acumen.

He loved his wife and daughters dearly and thrived being a grandpa.  He hosted weekly Sunday afternoon dinners with his family and welcomed all who stopped by to join them. Mike found true enjoyment cooking and was exceptional at it. Hosting large family gatherings and work-related events were his specialty. He loved introducing Houston and BBQ culture to everyone at the HLS&R BBQ Cook-Off for over 27 years.

An avid sportsman who especially enjoyed deer hunting, he always found a way to make those outings and opportunities inclusive of family and friends. He loved being outdoors, mentoring and teaching his nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren.

Hardworking and dedicated, Mike went out of his way to help others, whether his parents and in-laws, family members, friends, friends of friends, co-workers, colleagues, business associations, and charitable organizations. If something was complicated and in need of a solution, he would always "have an app for that."

Mike was extremely thoughtful and considerate to his friends and family.  His kind heart, welcoming smile, and willingness to help were all trademarks of who Mike was.  He believed in others and helped many people develop a positive path in their life, careers, or businesses. He was generous with his time and talent and donated both in service like a true Texas gentleman.

He meant so much to so many and all will miss him dearly.  Mike is etched in our thoughts and held closely in our hearts.
