Michael "Todd" Eilers, a beloved son, brother, husband and father peacefully passed on to be with his Lord and Savior on March 17, 2021.
Michael had a wonderful sense of humor that could be a bit off-kilter at times, but his smile and laughter was infectious. His joy in life was being with his family, watching football and Star Wars. He knew something about everything and loved nerdy history and science documentaries, music, fishing, grilling, and spending time with his kids and family. Being a natural athlete himself, he had a passion for his Texas sports teams - Astros, Texans, and College Football.
Michael had friends far and wide, friends with rough and calloused hands and friends with polished nails. He fit in with both, he valued his relationships with family and friends above all else. Michael was most proud of his children. Even in the most difficult circumstances, you could count on his smile, gentle spirit, and the best bear hugs. He loved deeply and completely with all his heart, it is undoubtedly for this quality that he will be forever remembered by those he leaves behind.
Although Michael goes home before his wife, Julie Eilers; children, Alex Eilers and wife Julia, Jenna Eilers, and Parker Caplin; father, Michael G. Eilers and wife Gladys Eilers; mother, Donna Smith and husband Carl Smith; sister, Lori Buehring; nieces Brianna and Tea Reyna; nephew, Zachary Reyna; grandmother Delores Marek; and many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends they will see him again in heaven.
Michael was preceded in death by his father's parents; Victor and Viola Eilers; mother's father, Eliquis Janak; and uncle, Raymond Eilers.
By his wishes, Michael will be cremated and requested no formal services. Michael wanted his friends and family to celebrate his life through food, drink and happy memories. His Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, March 26th at Han's Crawfish.
In lieu of flowers, Michael would prefer for donations to be made to your favorite charity.
"One with the Force, they are, and our job it is to remember that we will, in time, also pass on. Luminous beings are we, but temporary vessels, our bodies are. And we shall all find ourselves here, in time."
