Michael Adam Douglass was born February 13, 1947 in Houston, Texas. He died on November 6, 2021, at the age of 74, joining his mother, Anita Dunn Douglass and father, William Edwards Douglass IV in their heavenly home. He was able to pass peacefully in his home surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosemary Pearsall Douglass, Spring, TX; his son, Adam Douglass and wife Ashley, Spring, TX; sisters: Holly Douglass-Guerrero, Hockley, TX; Shelley Douglass Wolf and husband Jim, Cypress, TX; and grandchildren: Avery Douglass and Jackson Douglass.

He graduated from Memorial High School in Houston, Texas where he was a letterman in track and field. He then attended The University of Texas-Austin and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity serving as the chapter Vice-President. He developed a passion for Longhorn football which continued throughout his life. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served for 6.5 years.

Even though he was a native Houstonian, he was a country boy at heart. He had a love for nature and all animals, especially his dogs and horses. His favorite places were the Texas hill country and his cousin's ranch in Weimar, TX where he would spend his childhood summers. His love for the country was always present. He would go on to be a Committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and complete the Saltgrass Trail Ride on two separate occasions.

He was a devoted husband and father who loved his family immensely. His purpose was to serve his family in every capacity possible. He had a strong bond with his son that was apparent to everyone he met. He was a proud grandfather who loved his grandchildren unconditionally and lived to spoil them.

His love for God can only be described as a personal relationship that was developed through daily prayer and an unwavering faith knowing that God was in control. Though he will be greatly missed, his impact on those who knew him will last for generations and they take comfort knowing they will one day see him again.
