Michael A. Cooper, 74 years, passed away April 14, 2022 in Houston, Texas after a long battle with
cancer. He was born October 8, 1947 to parents James and Betty Cooper in Beatrice, NE. Mike
graduated from Clark High School, Class of 1966 in Clark South Dakota. Mike graduated from Northern
State College in Aberdeen SD and got his Masters Degree in Economics in Brookings SD. Mike married
DiAnn (Mudgett) and were blessed with two daughters Crystal and Aimee.

Mike worked for the Bureau of Labor Statistics, ATF and the Department of Labor during his career in
Minnesota, South Dakota and retired in Texas. He was a Police Reserve in Sioux Falls, SD and
volunteered in many ways to assist families in need in the Sioux Falls area. Mike was an avid golfer and
golfed every day when he could. He was a leader in the Senior Men's Golf Leagues in Mission TX as well
as Houston TX. When someone asked for volunteers Mike was the first one to raise his hand.
Mike will be missed by his wife DiAnn, daughters Crystal McIntyre(Terry) and Aimee Cooper, step sister
Denise Anderson, grandchildren Dylan(Sarah) Hoek, Jazzmine Jackson, Taylor(Shantaveous) Hoek, and
step grandchildren Meagan, Macy and Barrett McIntyre. Great grandchildren Bentley and Brycen
Hoek(parents Dylan and Sarah Hoek) and Paisley and Tanner Hoek(Parents Taylor and Shantaveous
Hoek).

Mike was preceded in death by his mother and father James and Betty Cooper, sister Patti
Salm(Cooper) step mother Delores Cooper, step sisters Diane Terway and Twyla Menart and great
grandson Kaycen Hoek(parents Taylor and Shantaveous Hoek).

Memorial and celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
