Michael Anthony Cipollaro

August 27, 1935 - November 14, 2025

Michael Cipollaro, 90, a retired international sales and marketing executive, passed away peacefully in Cypress, Texas on November 14, 2025.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Anthony Caesar Cipollaro and Rose Cecilia Sullivan, and his sister Patricia Harper.

A lifelong learner with a sharp intellect, Michael attended The Taft School and graduated in 1953 before earning his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University in 1957, where he was a proud member of the Georgetown Chimes singing group. He went on to complete a master's in advanced international studies at Johns Hopkins in 1960, laying the foundation for a successful global career.

Michael married Anne Elizabeth Wood in Washington, D.C. in 1962. Shortly after they moved to Europe—and lived in Como, Italy, Greece, and Belgium—where he began his work with CPC International, and where their family began to grow. Michael and Anne welcomed five children: Kevin Cipollaro (Glynnis), Alicia Blair (David), Dina Cipollaro (Christian), Keith Cipollaro (Susan), and Christianne Cipollaro Lashbrook (James).

Michael married Flavia Lima in 1984 and they lived in Towson, Maryland while he worked for McCormick & Co., and later in Grand Rapids, Michigan, during his time with Gerber Baby Foods. They had two children, Anthony and Gabriella. The family also lived in Orlando, Florida where Michael served as the Executive in Residence at Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business, and founded the Center for Entrepreneurship. He later pursued entrepreneurial ventures that reflected his curiosity and drive.

Michael is survived by his second wife Flavia, by his seven children, and eight grandchildren: Taylor Berghane, Paul Cipollaro, Ian Cipollaro, George Cipollaro, Henry Cipollaro, Max Silva Cipollaro, Gabriel Silva Cipollaro, and Tessa Cipollaro. He is also survived by one great granddaughter Solenne Marie Berghane.

Michael enjoyed travel, spirited games of tavli, tennis, following the stock market, Negronis, wine, and reading, especially The New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Most of all, he cherished time spent with family and friends, who will remember him for his wit, intellect, and generous spirit.
