Mike Bosworth (68) of Houston, TX, passed away on April 23, 2024, from a long battle with cancer. He was born on August 11, 1955, in Normal, IL.
He graduated from Bloomington High School, Bloomington, IL. He had advanced business degrees in Information Technology (Illinois State University) and Business Administration (University of Phoenix). Mike enjoyed a 46-year career in Information Technology (IT), serving in various senior management roles with Sperry, Unisys, Compaq, HP, and Pageflex corporations.
Mike was a loyal, hardworking Godly man of integrity with noble character. He loved and followed the Lord Jesus daily and wanted other people to know and love Him too. He was known for his wit and dry sense of humor, and his gentle and humble nature. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betsy) Bosworth, their daughters Jill Elizabeth Albert and Amanda Leigh Dayton, son-in-love Joshua Edward Dayton, and his brother, William Edward Bosworth. Mike had five grandchildren, Kaden Hawke Dayton (17), Logan Bear Dayton (14), Leigha Charis Albert (14), Faith Noelle Albert (12), and Ella Rivers Dayton (10).
Mike was obsessed with Labrador Retrievers and Jack Russel Terriers, along with his love for driving fast in his Nissan Z car. Through the years, he enjoyed hobbies such as CB radio, flying airplanes, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, technology, gaming, target shooting, and ministry service. He loved working outdoors at home and on mission relief projects or helping those in need locally. His pride and joy was his family and making memories with his daughters, son-in-love and grandchildren.
Memorial services and viewing will be held at Klein Funeral Home in Spring, TX, from 1:00-4:00 pm. The service will take place at 2:00 pm and will be officiated by Dr. Steve Bezner, Senior Pastor of Houston Northwest Church.
