Michael William Boone Ridgway, 30, of Austin, TX died on June 27, 2022. He was born December 10, 1991 in Atlanta, GA to John & Debbie Ridgway and grew up in The Woodlands, TX. He attended the University of Texas at Austin. He completed the curriculum and practicum requirements to obtain his Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) certification. Michael was a talented and creative musician, guitar player and songwriter.

While Michael suffered from addiction and mental illness from the age of 14, that is not what defined him nor the person he was when sober.

Michael was an inquisitive, personable and fast thinking child. He did well in school, played football and baseball and had many friends. Michael accumulated a 3 year stretch of sobriety at one point. When sober and working his program, he was an engaging and selfless person dedicated to the AA premise of working with others. Those that have been helped by Michael have described him as an intelligent, intuitive and charismatic caring soul.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Everly Lynn Ridgway & her mother Lindsey Rosser, parents John and Debbie Ridgway, grandmother Becky Ridgway, brothers Robert McDaniel (Amy) and Chris Ridgway (Chinah), nieces Alexis and Cameron McDaniel and nephew Jackson Craig.

Funeral service and interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 13 at Klein Memorial Park Chapel and Cemetery (9714 FM 2920 Tomball, TX 77375).
