Obituary

?Melvin Duane Leiseth was born on January 27, 1944, to Ole and Beatrice Leiseth as one of their four children: Wallace, Etta, and Carolee. Melvin grew up in Moorhead, MN, and attended Moorhead High School. In 1961, Melvin married Sharon Jean Weiss and started their family of five children: Michelle Marie Jungers and husband Marc Jungers of Hockley, TX, Lisa Ann Hees and husband Scott Hees of Pinehurst, NC, Heidi Louise Hogue and husband Ben Hogue of Dallas, TX, Marci Lin Leiseth and husband Ed Juarez of Brooklyn, NY, and Nicholas Duane Leiseth and wife Emily Leiseth of Tomball, TX.

In addition to Melvin's children and their spouses, the remaining immediate family members  have also been blessed to have Melvin closely tied to their lives. This includes 11 grandchildren: Lindsey (fiance Collen Thompson) Jungers-Hoffman, Brandee Jungers, Brody Jungers and wife Kristin Jungers, Cameron and Connor Hees, Audrey and Blythe Hogue, Mick Juarez, and Colin and Tucker Leiseth; and five great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Newth-Jungers, Emma and Braden Hoffman, C.J. and Liam Thompson, and Evelynn and Waylon Jungers.

Melvin and Sharon spent the beginning of their 56 years of marriage in the Moorhead area, with the last 35 years in Texas. Melvin passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019. Two years ago, Sharon unexpectedly preceded Melvin in passing. Melvin wore many hats in his lifetime: farmer, pilot, crop duster, trucker, business owner, salesman, and cowboy, better known as "Flash." He was a caring father who instilled his can-do motto in his children. He will be remembered for his unstoppable entrepreneur spirit and love of life and family.

Melvin's entire family thanks you for all of the kind thoughts, stories, gestures, and prayers celebrating his wonderful life with us. Visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375, on Wednesday, June 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, in the funeral home chapel.
