Melvin "Charlie" Charles Rudel, of Tomball, Texas, was born on September 20, 1962, and passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2024.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Rudel, his children, Kevin Duoto Rudel and Christy Rudel, granddaughter, Ava Moore. His siblings, Richard (Karen) Rudel, Kay (Trace) Parham and Roger (Yessenia) Rudel. His mother-in-law Joyce Duoto, sister-in-law Tracy (Dustin) Burris, brother-in-law Chris Duoto Jr and nieces and nephews, Jenny Rudel, Rich Rudel, Sarah Cato, Lacey Duoto, Heather Duoto, Colton Duoto and Faith Rudel. He is preceded in death by his parents, R.M. and Ramona Rudel and his father-in-law Chris Duoto, Sr.

Charlie was a master carpenter who discovered his love for woodworking in high school. He enjoyed spending his time with his family and participating in game nights; his favorite games were spades and dominoes 42. He loved dirt track racing and attending Nascar races. Charlie was a devoted husband and father and dearly loved by his granddaughter, as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A funeral service for Charlie will be held at 10am on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Spring Creek Church of Christ, 14847 Brown Rd, Tomball, TX 77377. He will be laid to rest in Salem Lutheran Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
