Mell Rose Hammer, born June 5, 1929, went to Heaven on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the age of 93. Rose was the youngest daughter of Albert Key Kayser and Anna Mell Kayser's seven children, all of whom preceded her in death. Rose was first married to Charles Everitt, who was the father of her three children, whom she loved fiercely: Patrick Daniel  (Danny) Everitt, Charles Clayton (Clay) Everitt and Jerri Belena Benner. She was then married to Marvin Coke Reeves, and finally to the love of her life, Mike Hammer.

In addition to her siblings and many other loved relatives, Rose is also preceded in death by her husband, Mike Hammer, and son, Danny Everitt. She is survived by her son, Clay Everitt and his wife, Karen, her daughter, Jerri Benner and husband, Rusty, as well as her daughter-in-law, Linda Drehs.

Rose also leaves behind her seven grandchildren: Jessica Hanson, married to Richard Hanson, Charlie Everitt, married to Aimee Everitt, Daniel Everitt married to Michele Everitt, Joyce (Joy) Rose Marie Moory, married to Brent Adams, Annabelle Danielle-Rose Everitt, Jeremiah Benner and Matthew Benner. Rose was also blessed to have four great-grandchildren: Erik Hanson, Marcie Everitt, Michael Hanson, and Clinton Adams, and three great-great-grandchildren. Rose is also survived by her sister-in-law, Wanda Kayser, and several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Rose loved Jesus and her family with all of her heart. Her life was one that she built with God's love and strength. She never gave up on anything, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she would fight for with all of her being. We will miss our sweet, beautiful matriarch so very much, but what a wonderful reunion she is having in Heaven.
