Melissa Gilbert was a true servant of God. She faithfully served as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Through her own battles she continued to put others first and serve like Christ. Melissa was radiant and had a contagious joy about her that only God could provide. Her life was a true testament to the way God commands us to love one another. To know Melissa was to love her. Her husband Rickey, and her three children survive her. The love that she and Rickey shared was like nothing anyone has ever seen before. Their love was the kind that people dream about finding, and is honestly indescribable. Not only in the good times but also when her health began to decline, he served her, stayed by her side night and day, and loved her unconditionally. She is deeply missed and loved, though we know that she is healed from all sickness and is made new, resting in the arms of the Father.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00, Wednesday January 11, 2017  at Klein Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Houston North West Church, 19911 State HWY 249, Houston, Texas 77070
