Melissa Northern Fuller, age 71, of Spring, TX, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016.

Melissa is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Scott Wolcott Fuller; son Nicholas Fuller and his wife Jennifer Fuller; son Christopher Fuller and his wife Kristi Fuller; sister Patricia McElwrath; brother Scot Northern; grandchildren Payton Fuller, Jack Fuller, and Alex Vasquez; and several nephews and nieces whom she was quite fond of. She is predeceased by her brother John Northern and her parents.

Born May 4, 1945 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Roy P. Northern, Jr. and Ann Bovis Northern, Melissa grew up in Midland, TX where she graduated from Midland High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX. During her years in college she was a proud active member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and stayed active within this organization after college. She later married Scott Wolcott Fuller on December 20, 1969, and dedicated many years of her adult life teaching the children of Theiss Elementary in Klein ISD as a second grade teacher.

Melissa was an extraordinary cook, and her family was most important to her. She was interested in family genealogy and assisted her aunt in gathering family information and establishing a living memorial of her descendants. She was a caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend to many.

A service celebrating Melissa's life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Klein Methodist Church 5920 FM 2920 in Spring, TX. This service will be followed up by a reception at the church as well. A private burial will precede this service.

Her family would also like to recognize the love and care given to her by her close friends and neighbors of 34 years, Barry and Jackie Vail, as well as her caregiver of many years Virginia Fields.

Melissa will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
