Melissa Annette DeLisle (Spillers), 55, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.

She was born in Ft. Rucker, Alabama on September 20, 1962 to Dalton and Velma Spillers. She was a loving mother, doting Nana, and a best friend to many, most of all, to her sister, and to her daughters. Many were drawn to her genuine and warm nature. Melissa had a gentle spirit and always put the needs others before her own. It was often joked she was a friend to the friendless. But of all the roles Melissa had in life, the one most important to know was she was a Christian. Her faith was recognized by those around her, and supported her through life. Jesus tells us, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies."

She is survived by her parents, brother, Dalton Spillers, Jr. and wife Cheryl Spillers, sister, Delores Cox and husband Jim Cox, and brother, Darren Spillers. She is also survived by her two daughters, Jessica Colley and husband Adam Colley, and Erin Scrivner and her fiancé Garrett Lewandowski. Melissa adored her two grandsons, Owen and Luke Colley, and her nieces and nephews, Nikki Farrar, Zach Spillers, Kayla, Kyle and Carson Cox, and Dylan and Dawson Spillers. She is also survived by countless friends who loved her.

Melissa is proceeded in her passing by her beloved grandparents, Robert and Mamie Chance, and James and Mollie Spillers.

Visitation will take place at Klein Funeral Home at 1400 W. Main St in Tomball, Texas on Monday, June 25 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m.
