Meckenzi Loren Traylor Zientek was born in Cypress, Texas on May 31, 1994, and passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2022 at the age of 27.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Nick Zientek, and her grandfather, Clem Stinebrickner, Sr.

Meckenzi is survived by her loving parents, Mark and Stacy Traylor, and her brother, Ross Traylor. As well as her German Shepherds, Sailor and Lucy.

She graduated from the University of Houston in December 2019. She and Nick married in January 2020. She demonstrated tremendous courage and strength while caring for Nick before his passing in April 2021 from ALS.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dancing to country music, floating the Guadalupe river and talking endlessly. Must haves: Starbucks, cell phone, Chick-fil-A, and tik-tok.

Meckenzi was full of life and spirit. She was generous, fun loving, and warm-hearted. She based her life achievements on how much she gave to others. To know her was to love her.

She loved more than was necessary and gave more than was required.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association of Texas www.alstexas.org.

A visitation will be held at 1pm with a funeral service for Meckenzi to begin at 2pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065. She will be laid to rest in Klein Memorial Park in Cypress, Texas. A celebration of life reception will follow, at BlackHorse Golf Club, from 3:30 – 6:30pm.
