Maygan, 36, of Cypress, Texas, passed away peacefully with her mother and brother at her side on Thursday, March 26, 2026, after a courageous and relentless battle with cancer. Through every step of that fight, she never lost her strength, her spirit, or her unwavering will to fight. Even in the most difficult moments, Maygan showed a level of resilience and determination that inspired everyone around her.

Maygan was, at her core, a servant to others. She had a natural gift for putting people first, always offering her time, her energy, and her heart without hesitation. Her kindness was something she lived out each day.

One of the greatest reflections of her love and purpose was the relationship she shared with Trey, her godson. She poured herself into raising and supporting him, providing guidance, encouragement, and joy in his life. Trey was a constant source of pride and motivation for Maygan, and he gave her a reason to smile and push forward no matter the circumstances. The love she had for him was deep, selfless, and devoted.

Maygan built meaningful relationships with everyone she encountered. She was friends with everyone she met.  Whether you knew her for years or only a short time, she had a way of making you feel valued, heard, and supported. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought encouragement, and her actions left a lasting impression.

Maygan was truly one of a kind.  She loved hanging out with her brother and her friends, spending time with her family, listening to music, and going to the beach.  She was a rare soul whose impact will live on through the many lives she touched.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Laurie Stewart; her pride and joy, Trey Gaines; her siblings, Melissa Igo and husband Billy, Melinda Trahan and husband Chad, Melanie Stewart, and Russell Stewart ("Bro"); her nieces and nephews, Dillon, Logan, Raeley, Brooklyn, Talon, Kylee, and Aiden; many godchildren; her boyfriend, Tevin; her grandmother, Gigi; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Lonnie Wendell Stewart and Grandparents, Lawrence Ray Earnest and George and Kathryn Stewart.

Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, service, and resilience will continue to guide and inspire us. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished.
