Maxine Marie Villar, age 88, of Magnolia, Texas, was born on October 13, 1937 in Houston, Texas and passed from this life on April 26, 2026, in The Woodlands, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Mielsch and Emma Priest Mielsch, husband, Shelly Dawson Villar, daughter, Chere Villar, son, Troy Villar, grandson, Justin Koenig and son-in-law, David Koenig.

Maxine is survived by her loving daughters; Rochelle Tyler (James) and Dana Koenig (Howard Davenport); sister, DeAnna K. Smith (Larry); grandson, Jason Koenig, granddaughters, Jennifer Matthews (Chris) and Vanessa Kitchens (Curtis); great-grandson, Tyler Fryer; nephew, Brandon Smith (Caroline), niece, Kristen McCauley (John and baby McCauley), great-nephew, Logan Smith, great-niece,  Lauren Smith; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins.

Maxine, affectionately known as "Maw Maw", will be remembered for her love of crocheting, especially afghans. She was active in her church and a part of the T.O.P.S. group for many years as well. When Maxine was at home, she had the most important job of all, which was being a homemaker for her family that she loved and cherished dearly.  She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home-Tomball (1400 W. Main St. Tomball, Texas 77375). A graveside will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023). Family requesting to meet in the lobby at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home before heading out to the gravesite for the service.
